The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring the company complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Key Duties/
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage an effective compliance program.
Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Review of all local regulations to ensure compliance with all permits, applications, etc.
needed for each store to operate.
Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect the organization.
Conduct regular audits to assess the effectiveness of the compliance program.
Monitor and evaluate internal processes to identify areas of non-compliance.
Recommend and implement improvements to enhance compliance processes.
Review training adherence to each store based on brand standards including SERV Safe Communicate changes in regulations and policies to executive team.
Foster a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
Identify and assess potential compliance risks.
Develop strategies to mitigate and manage compliance risks effectively.
Prepare monthly reports on the status of compliance efforts.
Proactive approach to ensuring that renewals of permits, applications, etc.
are done timely.
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of compliance activities.
Ensure timely reporting to regulatory bodies as required.
Conduct internal investigations in response to reports of non-compliance.
Collaborate with operations and human resource departments to address compliance issues.
Work closely with other departments to ensure cross-functional compliance.
Collaborate with regulatory agencies as needed.
Promote ethical behavior and integrity within the organization.
Stay informed about industry best practices in compliance.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives for the compliance program.
Provide leadership in creating a positive compliance culture.
Education, Qualifications,
Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred and 10
years professional experience required.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Compliance role.
Relevant certifications (e.
g.
, Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional, Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager) preferred.
Working knowledge of SERV safe and related training programs.
In-depth knowledge and use of Windows Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Excellent documentation, communication, and IT skills.
Knowledge of understanding and ensuring compliance with local municipalities and knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
In-depth understanding of industry standards and regulations.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Food service industry experience is required.
Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions with little information available.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to analyze and interpret information quickly.
Excellent project management skills and the ability to be methodical and diligent.
Detail orientation and the ability to pay attention and identify minimal changes in regulations.
